Our Experience and What We Do

Gxxks Labs is a sound mastering, audio recording and event production studio that works with artists from all music genres. We also work with business owners from many different industries. We are regularly mastering songs from hip hop artists and EDM DJ's, to mastering recordings of bands with a full range of instruments. Such as drum and bass to strings, woodwinds, vocals and much more.

Gxxks Labs is also routinely working with new business owners, artists and consumers interested in learning audio and seeking out advice. We advise new venues and restaurants on purchasing equipment for best audio optimization, while also helping advice consumers just interested in building personal home studios. We even have experience helping larger productions source equipment, make contracts to buy talent and tackle different problems that arise in the production industry. We have helped small local productions such as benefit shows to large scale productions such as multi-day music festivals.

Founder and Lead Audio Engineer

Being in love with music creativity his whole life, Rick Brown professionally joined the audio industry in highschool as a DJ at a local bar in his home town. Starting off he already had extensive knowledge about music structure and the working of analog audio equipment from working along side his fathers' jam band growing up and playing the saxophone. So making a name for himself, DJ Spac, was just the next step he needed to further his experience in the music industry.

As he continued DJing house music and hip hop regularly throughout high school, he became fasinated with the idea of captivating people and putting a smile on their face through dance and music. He quickly taught himself how to blend songs, match tempos and create beats that are appreciated by others. Determined to continue supporting music creativity, Rick continued to be involved in local music scenes and audio engineering while completing a computational physics degree at West Virginia University.

Throughout college Rick helped install audio systems at local venues, started creating music with local DJ's and began mastering music for musicians from all different genres. Once completing college he quickly finished a home studio and started recording musicians, mastering music and doing live audio engineering for large local productions. He also started to regularly throw large gatherings for his friends and local DJ's in his basement. These gatherings eventually grew so big he decided to start Clustxr Music Festival because he wanted to continue to captivate more people, build friendships and pursue his passion for event production and love for the music industry.
